Have I mentioned that the BMCU was participating in the Annual Miner’s Day Parade in Park City on Monday, September 5?

Those that remembered to show up were: Duff Lawson, Chris Dunbeck, Darin Graber, Jon Hermance, Andrew Frink, Wes Himle, Rubin Ventress, Ron Christensen, Dave Christensen, Kent Jensen, Roger Dotson, Jamie Monroe, Rob Foye, John Progress, Barb Progress, Daniel Bair, Steven Nelson, Richard and Emele Wayland, Kevin and Jan Cowan, Kathy and Floyd Inman, Jim and Susan Revel, Pugs and Diane, Pete Belford, Dave and Carol Mark (good to see the two of you out), and Gary Lindstrom. (If I misspelled your name it is because you can’t write or you are a doctor writing a prescription).

Another great British Field Day

Sunday, August 14th, 2011

Another British Field Day has come and gone, and it was a good one. We had good weather (hot but not blistering), good cars, good bikes, good food, and good folks all around. I don’t have numbers handy but there was a nice selection of cars, including many that were new to me. Food was provided by the Chow truck – nice folks and really tasty food.

Economy run

Monday, June 6th, 2011

Well, for those of you who did not come to the club’s 1st ever Economy Run, I certainly hope that you were at least able to get out and drive your LBC because it was a perfect, beautiful day for a drive!

Actually only three cars showed up, a slightly smaller turnout than I was expecting, but I can only say, you really missed a fun event.  I chose a route that involved a little bit of city driving, a little bit of country driving, a little up hill, a little down hill and some freeway.  It turned out to be 32.1 miles and took about an hour and a half.

So, the results, the winner was Darrin Grabber in his green MG TF, 27.18 m.p.g!  Rob Foye in second (but also unfortunately last place) in his red TR4, a very respectable 22.62 m.p.g.  I did not expect to be able to go on the event but since there were so few of us, I drove it also, but I am disqualifying myself since I hosted and designed the event.  I surprised myself with 28.84 m.p.g. in my little yellow Mini!

Anyway, the five people who participated this year thought that it was a lot of fun and would like to do it again next year.  You’re welcome to join us.

Antelope Island run blustery and fun

Friday, May 20th, 2011

May 14th was the annual Antelope Island run.  It was a beautiful morning as we met in Kaysville at the O’Reilly  auto parts. We had a wonderful turn out and it was great to see everyone!  We travelled West and North out to Antelope Island.  We travelled through the bug swarms over the causeway and out to the Ranch.  We gathered for lunch and just started enjoying the company when the wind and weather picked up and put a hasty end to our gathering.  Still, a good time was had by all!
